February 6 SCARC Meeting: Meshtastic, what is it and how to use it

The Story County Amateur Radio Club will meet on Thursday, February 6th, at 7:00 PM with an in-person gathering in Grand Room 1 at Northcrest Community combined with an online meeting via Microsoft Teams.

Aaron Kester, K1KEZ, will give a presentation on Meshtastic, an open-source project that allows users to create a long-range, off-grid communication network using inexpensive LoRa (Long Range) radios. It's designed to exchange text messages and data in environments without existing infrastructure. Attendees are encouraged to bring their Meshtastic devices for a short show-and-tell at the end of the meeting.
