Amateur Radio Club meets on November 2

The Story County Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017. The program topic, "Lessons from a Communications Exercise: HF applications for Emergency Communications," will be presented by Paul, W0YR (formerly KB7VML).

The club will meet in Room 1020, Extension-4H Building on the ISU Campus, located on the southwest corner of Stange Road and 13th Street. This meeting is free and open to the public, and parking is available just west of the building.

Story County Amateur Radio Club meets October 5

The Story County Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) will meet on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Clint Miller, KC0JUO, will present the program on “Data Modes for Emergency Communications.” Clint serves as the Story County ARES Emergency Coordinator and is a FEMA-credentialed Communications Unit Leader (COML).

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in North Conference Room A on the first floor of Mary Greeley Medical Center. Parking is available near the northeast entrance. The meeting is free and open to the public.

September 2017 SCARC Meeting

The Story County Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) will meet on Thursday, September 14, 2017. While the club normally meets on the first Thursday of the month, most of the officers will be participating in the National Guard Communications Exercise (COMMEX) on September 7 and 8. The meeting will feature the annual ‘show and tell’ format, along with a discussion of the Iowa QSO Party to be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in North Conference Room A on the first floor of Mary Greeley Medical Center. Parking is available near the northeast entrance. The meeting is free and open to the public.
