SCARC events for August, September

SCARC will hold a potluck picnic on Sunday, August 14 beginning at 5:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Park, while the next regular club meeting will be held on Thursday, September 1, at 7:30 PM in Conference Room North A-B of Mary Greeley Medical Center.

August potluck on Sunday, August 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM

We have reserved the Coneflower Shelter at Moore Memorial Park (3050 Northridge Pkwy in northwest Ames). Please bring family and friends – this is intended to be an informal social event, and ALL are welcome! No sign-up or RSVP is required.
Please bring one or more main course dishes (and maybe a side dish!) to share along with place settings (plates, silverware, napkins, etc.) and non-alcoholic beverages for your group. Drinking water and Dutch oven cobbler will be provided. There is limited electrical service at the shelter.
The potluck will be preceded by a foxhunt starting at 2:00pm, courtesy of KC0JUO.
AD0KX is tentatively planning to bring an HF radio for some informal portable HF operation.
We’ll have lots of socializing, fun, and good food. Please plan to attend!

September's activity will be our regular meeting on Thursday, September 1, at 7:30 PM

The next regular SCARC meeting will include a ‘show-and-tell’ program where members are encouraged to share new gear, hamfest finds, or interesting radio-related activities. The program will be followed by a business meeting. Members are reminded that the $10 annual dues should be submitted at the September meeting.
We will meet in Conference Room North A-B, Mary Greeley Medical Center. The closest parking is in the lot north of the ER and ambulance garage. Enter through the North Door where MGMC meets McFarland Clinic.
