Every year SCARC participates in Field Day, which is a nation wide on-the-air event that is held on the fourth weekend of June each year. More than 35.000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations.

Our Field Day operation practices for emergencies by setting up temporary antennas and stations in the field that use emergency power. We tackle the skill of operating multiple radios simultaneously to make as many contacts with other participants as possible. Public outreach and giving new-comers a chance to operate And of course we have lot of fun, socialization and food.
